STREATOR – Streator Township High School’s COVID-19 committee has started conversations about how they would arrange special events coming up like prom and graduation while following COVID-19 regulations.
Different ideas were tossed around at Tuesday night’s board meeting like hosting their graduation ceremony on the football field and a prom street party. Superintendent Matt Seaton says based on the Illinois Department of Public Health’s previous recommendation, groups of 50 are allowed within 30 feet so it’s possible to block of sections of the street to make prom happen. Last year, Streator High School commemorated their seniors with a drive-thru graduation.
