STREATOR – Streator’s City Council approved of a collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Firefighters and Streator Firefighters Local 56 on Wednesday. According to City Manager David Plyman, the new agreement provides for a 2.5% wage increase for covered personnel and eliminated wage disparity between firefighters. As part of the agreement, long-standing staffing issues will continue to be discussed through regular labor-management meetings. The collective bargaining agreement includes all Streator firefighters with the exception of the fire chief.
