SPRINGFIELD – Two of the regions designated by the Illinois Department of Public Health will be facing stricter mitigation measures to help control the growing number of COVID-19 cases. Regions 7 and 8, making up Kane, DuPage, Will and Kankakee counties, will see an end Friday to indoor dining and gatherings of over 25 people. The seven-day rolling positivity average has been over 8% in both regions for three days. The restrictions will be lifted if the average drops to 6.5% or lower.
