MARSEILLES – A 10-year-old is suspected of being the one who started a house fire in Marseilles. The Marseilles Police Department say the blaze on the afternoon of October 2nd caused up to $80,000 worth of damage to the home located in the 1000 block of Washington Street. During the investigation, video surveillance showed a minor at the residence before the fire started, whom authorities believe was involved in the alleged arson. The case was turned over to the LaSalle County States Attorney’s Office and the 13th Judicial Circuit Probation Office.
